|Growing up in New York – the city that never sleeps – the atmosphere was constantly abuzz with activity. Almost every minute, something intriguing was happening. I first picked up a camera at the age of twelve and was instantly fascinated by how one could seemingly freeze a slice of this activity in time, on film or print for eternity.|
Since then, I have traveled and lived in some of the most dynamic cities around the world from the metropolis that is Manama (Bahrain) to the enchanting beaches on the islands of Hawaii and the unassumingly efficient industrial town of Yokosuka-shi, (Kanagawa prefecture, Japan).
Throughout my journeys, I was enthralled by the distinctive landscapes, architecture, cuisine and culture that makes each place unique and unlike any other location on Earth. It is the sum of these elements that collectively distinguishes each experience and memory from the next. Inspired by the juxtaposition of urbanity and natural sanctuaries and their resulting effect on people and their lifestyles, I sought to capture the essence and identity of the places and people I encountered.
Finally, my wanderings brought me to Singapore and this is where I have lived for the past decade. A city-state rich in heritage and culture, where its cuisine is the pride of its people and colonial buildings, skyscrapers and greenery do co-exist.
My experiences has fueled my passion for photography, to capture the details and subtleties that define the identity of a subject and make it exceptional – be it the ingredients of a dish, the gently meandering arc of a stairway or the twinkle in someone’s eye.
As a lifestyle photographer specializing in architectural, interior and food photography, notable clients I have shot for include L’Oreal Paris, LG, Philips and Singtel. I am available for assignments both locally and abroad and relish every opportunity to create and express the beauty of the world we live in through poignant and memorable imagery.
