Ok, my apologies. I realize that I've been away from the blog for quite awhile but I'm back again and putting up a post about some work I did recently for one of my favourite clients. It's been a crazy few months for me with shoots both in Singapore and abroad.
It's always a lot of fun when I get called up to head overseas for a shoot. Any change of scenery can be refreshing as it can offer you new situations with a completely fresh outlook, coupled with the excitement that travels always brings. Experiencing new countries and cultures, even if you have been to a certain place numerous times, allows you to appreciate the small details that can sometimes be overlooked when you're accustomed to a certain place.
So this past Fall saw me heading back out once again to shoot lifestyle images for Desert Palm Resort & Hotel in Dubai. Spending time at this resort, you feel so far removed from the hustle and bustle that Dubai is known for, even though you are a mere 20 minutes from the heart of the city. The winter months are the best time to visit this region where everything is so green and lush, the weather is so much cooler and you finally get a chance to enjoy the outdoors without dying of heat exhaustion. Coming from the heat and humidity of Singapore, this was a welcome relief.
I spent 3 days shooting a variety of lifestyle images working with some talented models, @martyna_salomone, @markozzg, @bharatmakhija and @silla_chaudhry who each paired up as a "couple" so we could create some new imagery for the resort. And of course not forgetting that no shoot is complete without a talented MUA, this time working with one of Dubai's best, @veramakeup. Check them out on Instagram!
From arrival at the resort, checking out the polo fields, lunch by the pool, relaxing in the presidential pool villa, spa treatments and hanging out with good friends, we covered a lot of ground during the shoot. Some of my favourites and client selected images are up in my Lifestyle portfolio, www.toddbeltz.com/lifestyle, with some of the outtakes and other shots that didn't quite make the cut here in the blog.
